Patricia J. Schraff was recently awarded the 2017 Ruth A. Densmore Senior Advocate Award by the Lake County Council on Aging at the Volunteer Recognition and Annal Meeting on May 11, 2017. The Ruth A. Densmore Senior Advocate Award is given to an individual or organization with outstanding community involvement on behalf of the Lake County Senior Citizens. The award winner is chosen by the Lake County Council on Aging's Board of Directors.

Patricia J. Schraff and Lindsay L. Jones will speak at the Ohio Elder Law Institute in Columbus Ohio on March 16, 2017. The topic of their presensation is Trust Administration.

John P. Thomas will be speaking at the Mustard Seed Market & Cafe in Solon, Ohio on April 20, 2016. The event is sponsored by NorthStar Title and First National Bank. Mr. Thomas will be speaking about proper titling of real estate, dower rights, transfer on death deisngation affidavits and the pros and cons of titling real estate for investors.

Patricia J. Schraff and John P. Thomas spoke at the Ohio Elder Law Institute in Columbus Ohio on April 1, 2016. The topic of their presensation was Probate Litigation which will include Will Constests, Will Construction Actions, Will Curing Actions, Trust Litigation, Breach of Power of Attorney, Concealment Actions, Guardianship Litigation, Fiduciary Removal Actions, Creditor's Claims Actions and Attorney's Fees and Disputes.

John P. Thomas received the 2015 District 18 Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under from the Ohio State Bar Foundation.

This Honor is given to a distinguished young attorney who generously contributes substantial time and effort in service to a local social service, or a local civic, artistic, or cultural organization. The service must be outside the recipients' practice of law and must be given without compensation. Emphasis is placed on current service and the recipient represents the ideals of the legal profession.
