Patricia J. Schraff, received her B.A. Degree from John Carroll University in 1973, her M.S.S.A. from Case Western University, School of Applied Social Sciences in 1977, and her J.D. Degree from Cleveland State University College of Law in 1980. Ms. Schraff is a member of the Geauga County Bar Association, the Lake County Bar Association, the Cleveland Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
She is the immediate Past President of the Board of The Long Term Care Ombudsman and President of the Board of the Lake County Council On Aging. She is also a member of the Association of Specialists on Aging and past Board member of The Alzheimer's Association. Ms. Schraff is also the attorney for the Geauga County Department on Aging and a volunteer attorney for the Cuyahoga County Adult Guardianship Services.
Ms. Schraff's practice is concentrated in the areas of elder law, estate planning and administration and probate matters. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association Probate and Trust Law and Elder Law Sections, the Cleveland Bar Association Section on Estate Planning and is co-chair of the Lake County Bar Association Probate Committee. She is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and its Guardianship Special Interest Group.
Ms. Schraff was recently recognized as an individual who has worked to "improve public programs and policies to advance the health, independence and dignity of older adults" as a winner of the 2009 BRI Katz Advocacy Award sponsored by the Benjamin Rose Institute.
